On our Tintoreras tour we snorkeled with green sea turtles, marine iguanas, sea lions, TONS of colorful fish and white tipped sharks. On the boat ride there, we saw blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, and Galapagos penguins! Being this close to nature was breathtaking. Taking a walk along the volcanic island was also neat. SO many marine iguanas and we got... More

This small island is a very rough volcanic lava island with lots of juvenile and adult marine iguanas, Sally Lightfoot crabs, lava lizards, and a great place to watch white tip reef sharks.

We have visited Las Tintoreras in a 2.5h tour. Although the site is just off the harbor of the city, one can only go by boat to get to the outside of the rocks, and a registered guide is required. But our guide was very nice and informative, so I found the tour very good. First we stop to see... More

This was a fun tour. Just got into Isabela and had time to go on this tour. It does not take more than a few hours. Snorkel and walking tour along with a boat tour around the area. They took us around to find the penguins and slowed and got close so we could take pictures.

I enjoyed a private tour here by one of Galapagos' top naturalists . It looks like a magical sculpture garden of frozen lava peaks coated with white deposits from sea shells and minerals in the ocean. Lots of baby marine iguanas can be seen with spectacular adults, since no hawks fly here to eat the babies.

Not as amazing as los tuneles but had a great experience! We saw lots of marine turtles, sting rays, a macho sea lion and beautiful fish! The walk to see the marine iguanas was great and loved the penguin watching. Went with rosedelco tours

We really enjoyed this trip, after a disastrous trip to los tuneles we were a bit worried about this tour but had a totally different experience. We walked amongst lots of iguanas, saw reef tips basking, penguins sunning themselves and then later we snorkelled the area and found more sharks, rays and sea turtles! The snorkeling on the los tuneles... More

40$ per person sea kayak trip through the Tintoreras reef/islets. Lasts about 2-3 hours, and for those wanting a tiny bit of exercise with their marine adventure this is perfect. We saw sea turtles from the kayak and snorkeling, a Galapagos serpent on the sea bottom (locally called the Moreno), sea lions, a multitude of fish, several small rays (agila... More
