Got there early. Short drive from Catemaco. Parked car and paid some pesos to have our car watched over. Some guy talked us into a guide. The guy escorted us to the entrance and expected a tip - oh well.

We read the review warning about "thugs" but when we arrived, we stopped for breakfast at one of the restaurants, parked out front, gave a guy 10 pesos for the car (and when we got back he was washing it!)
