Well, what a find, took a couple of hours to go round, the place is very clean and tidy, the clerk on the desk very helpful, knowledgable and keen to point out key pieces for us to look at. It was very quiet (we were only ones there) and some of the artwork was beautiful. Lots of different styles by a particular local artist. This is a hidden gem and I’d definitely recommend it.

Wonderful range of paintings and sculptures spread over numerous rooms. Don’t drive past the thought provoking head sculpture outside easily makes a landmark.

We were travelling to Baza for a few days away and passed the marble head by the side of the road. What a sight! Vowed we would call on the way back. We did not realise there was a fab gallery there too. Mainly the work of Andres Garcia Ibañez and mostly figurative art. Sadly. , no information in English but understand he is a local man. A range of stunning work. The works are beautifully displayed in 15/16 rooms. We did it have time to visit the other gallery as they close at 2pm on a Sunday

We have drove past this place whilst on the 334 you cant miss it as a huge white marble head in the car park its so high and been told it weights around 340 ton now that's a sight to see, the museum is easy to find as right beside the main 334 plenty of car parking which is free the museum has lots of rooms to visit!! its free to enter but you can leave small change on the way out if you like, there are lots of local artwork to see and the Perez Siquier Photographic centre is right next door again its free and well worth a visit, lots of local photos, if you like black and white artwork you will love this place, the attendant was most helpful and as we were leaving he informed us that we had missed out a room and guided us into it, then as we left he informed us that the Museum had a private side room outside which is locked, but he asked us if we would like to see the works inside and again he took us inside and waited for us to view and take in all the works, upon leaving he gave us lots more information including telling us about the Perez Siquier Photographic Centre which was next door, if he had not informed us about this place we would have left without visiting it, he was most helpful and a credit to the museum. a great morning out, just check the openning times if your planning to visit as moving away from summer now into winter so alot of places open with much shorter opening times.
