For a first and probably only visit to Venice, taking the private, luxury boat service from Marco Polo airport to a canal-side hotel in Venice is an extravagance that is well worth it. From the greeting at the airport terminal to our hotel, it was...More

We all do the Gondola when in Venice. The Venice Water taxis are also a great way to see other parts of this wonderful city. Recommended.

These taxis do exactly what they are supposed to do. They are functional and convenient but there is generally not alot of room for luggage and often these taxis are full of people travelling from one place to the next so be aware that you...More

We decided to splurge a little on our 1st trip to Venice and take a Private Water Taxi to our hotel. Absolutely worth it! Just outside the train station, turn left and head towards a little building with a green roof by the water. We...More

If you come to Venice it's worth paying for an hour on the water. Cost €120 for the trip so you can take as many on the boat as you like. We swept down the Canal Grande, taking in all the beautiful buildings and bridges...More

It’s very useful if you are going to miss your plane as it’s fast but the price is really too expensive: 120€ for 20 mins from our hotel (Pesaro) to the airport was really too much.

Even if you have been to Venice before, the water taxi service is not to be missed; the journey to the Grand Canal is magical. But it is expensive at €120 one way. Make sure you use a registered taxi.

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with
street artists, students, painters, sculptors,
restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and
heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's
collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for
evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries
cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica
buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob
