A boring experience

I visited Pathaleshwara Temple on the advice of local villagers who lauded the temple to the skies. But, the reality was far removed from the villagers words. The temple appeared to be in a tattered, semi-broken down condition with snakes roaming around the thick bushes all along the temple premises.

An interesting sight within the sanctum are the ancient jet-black Hoysala pillars, covered with bright vermilion smeared on by devotees.
