Superb place to visit once in a life time. Halebidu was the glorified royal capital of the Hoysala kingdom in 12th Century. we been to this temple on the way to water games of farmers son resort , temple vicinity kept clean and nice to witness the finest of artistic work of our ancient civilization , we had the guide who explained in our mother tongue and can speak all south Indian languages.

Same as Beluructemple, this temple is also beautiful and big. The architecture is mesmerizing. Its a must visit if you are in Hassan.

Any trip to either Belur or Halebid is incomplete without the other. So it is only natural that we came here after doing Belur. Halebid as well is best understood with a services of a guide but this temple has seen better days. The drive from Bangalore to halebidu via Bangalore kunigal highway is a dream for lovers of long drives. The roads are wide and with dividers for most places and traffic is sparse even on weekends.
