Must visit place
Feb 2020
We visited In february 2020 and had a great experience. I dont think its open now. There is no KSRTC bus facility to reach Sirimane waterfalls, but there is a bus to Kigga which you can board from Sringeri and then you can walk 5 kms, but this is not quite opted. Hiring a private vehicle(4 wheeler, again 2 wheeler not suggested) from Sringeri for to and fro is the best option suggested by locals too as the road to watefalls is kind of deserted and not very smooth. Our hotel receptionist guided us in right way and after visiting Sringeri Sharadamba temple we headed to Sirimane waterfalls.water was not deep and was pretty safe for non-swimmers

We visited Sirimane falls recently and the water ther3 was average. The roads approximately 5km from falls absolutely rubbish! Not at all usable. It's not worth to visit that place. I personally won't recommend that place to anyone. Thank you

Good place
Feb 2020 • Family
Good place, there is a good access to the water. People were bathing there, there was a changing shed and toilets. Has about 100 steps.. But not too steep or difficult to climb

Beatiful Falls
Dec 2019
Beatiful falls located around 5km from Kigga. The road leading upto the falls is just horrible and the tourism department to take note and repair it soon. The falls itself is beautiful and you need to take an entry ticket of 10/- and descend for a few steps to reach the falls. The view is great and worth a visit and definitely during monsoon when it's in full flow.

An Hidden Gem and can touch and stand underneath waterfalls
Dec 2019
First thing I look for is if I can touch the waterfall (not just view it) which is real fun especially for kids (and the 12-yr old daughter), so making that clear in my review title.

Was amazed to find so much water (good amount of flow) even during New Year eve (Dec 2019) when we visited., while I was fingers-crossed and hoping that it would not be a disappointment after driving about 15 kms from Sringeri. That's what nature can do when left for itself...sourcing all that water that runs 24/7., and this is just one waterfall. Also, while it seemed like there was no one driving to the waterfall other than us, and saw only a few vehicles (on the opposite way), we were surprised to see a crowded parking lot at the falls (@ about 2pm).
Bad part is about 80% of the last 4-5 kms of road is in very terrible condition. Found out after reaching that our car seemed to have a flat tire. It is one thing to be helpful, but another thing to say "you have a flat tire" (to add to our worry) while it only looks like tire is 50-60% deflated and not conclusive that it is a flat tire. Some ppl just like to do that, but not be of any real help. Let me tell them, if they are reading, we were able to drive back slowly up to Kigga where Mr. Nagaraj (battaru) keeps an air pump and eventually reached Blore without any issue. Very thankful to him and the person on the way to Kigga who directed us to his shop. Though I offered Nagaraj Rs.50 for the precious air, he refused to accept more than Rs.20.!

A GREAT FALLS TO VISIT IN SRINGERI
Aug 2019
We were a family of 8 adults and 2kids visited Sirimane falls during our Chikmagalur trip this weekend. Actually as per our initial itinerary, Sringeri & Sirimane falls were not in our list, due to some sight seeing places closed around Chikmagalur due to rain, we went there as plan B without any hope, but we were not disappointed, turned as an excellent one. After visiting Sringeri Temple, we visited this falls, around 18 kms from Sringeri Temple, The last 4 to 5kms road stretch is worst, but you can enjoy the surrounding nature.

Parking, changing room facilities are available, Entry ticket Rs.20 per adult and Rs.10 per child. After 5 mins downside staircase walk, you can reach the falls. During our visit, the water flow was in full force, We had a nice bath there.

Sirimane Falls is much more accessible and enjoyable. Do come prepared with a change of clothes because you will definitely feel like jumping in for a shower when you see the tempting spray and mist of this magnificent display of nature.

Highly recommended to visit during your Sringeri/Chikmagalur Trip

Small and spectacular...
Jul 2018 • Couples
Beautiful place to visit usually in the month of October or November. Located on the way to Sringheri. Till the half way the roads are good but as we get closer to the site the roads are narrow and bumpy..basically a muddy road. But worth visiting this place. At the site the rocks are very slippery, be cautious. Have a car parking space and has a entry fee.

Sringeri- Sirimane Water Falls
Jun 2019 • Family
Srimane water falls :

A thing of beauty is a joy forever. What more beautiful than a water falls in a green western ghats and there is no better way to find oneself than by facing a waterfall and listening to its music.
This place is in the interior part of Sringeri taluk of chikmagaluru district. It is 18 km from sringeri. Sringeri is also a famous tourist place. One can cover both places in one trip.

Even though the stretch of road to falls is not good with many pot holes, deadly curves of narrow width and thick forest surrounding the area. But it's a thrilling experience to drive upto there. And its total worth watching and enjoying the beauty of Sirimane falls.

But once you reach the foot of falls its mesmerising. You definitely feel like jumping in for a shower ..so, do come prepared with a change of clothes. You can go till bottom of the water fall and enjoy bathing under falls. The force of fall relaxes your body muscles and the area around the falls is just amazing. But need to be a little careful while moving in water because of the slippary rocks. Water is very cold even in the summer season and during rainy season the force of water will be very high that it is not recommended to play under falls as you can't withstand the force for long. There are few chaging rooms available free of cost and you need to pay around 10 bucks as a entry fees to the falls. It has a nice parking area. There you will find few petty shops which sell local fresh fruits, tea and snacks.

Do visit and share your experience
