Another delightful trip!

We'd been before, downstream, and had a lovely trip, so decided to book a trip this year to go upstream. So glad we did. It's another beautiful stretch of the river, narrower and more peaceful than downstream (although that's still beautiful too) and just perfect on a warm sunny afternoon. Peter, our captain and guide for the trip, was so... More

We came across this river trip when we went out for a picnic to Grove Ferry in Uppstreet near Canterbury. The boat trip is around 50 mins & starts on the hour. When we went it cost us £9 each. As we had just missed the trip it tells you to phone to book in - do not text as... More

We didn't plan for a wet day but still went on the trip. We did the hour trip and went down part of the Great Stour. The boat is electric and when the engine. (Which is not noisy) there is a wonderful quiet with the sound of the water and wildlife. The 'captain' is very informative and doesn't just follow... More

One of the best boat trips we have ever done. River was beautiful - saw kingfishers and other birds. Company was amazing, very friendly and knowledgable - cannot recommend highly enough. Great fun.

We had a lovely hour spent going upstream in the company of Peter, who was very knowledgeable & informative, we were hoping to sight some Kingfishers, sadly not on this trip, only a couple of swans & lots of canoes , however I did manage to capture some blue damsels bobbing over the river. the cost is well worth the... Lovely 50 minute trip down the river with the children. The boat was quiet, clean and offered good views from all sides. No real negatives other than it might be nice if the skipper had said a few words along the way.

The trip is around 50 mins, we went downstream as incoming tide was due during the trip and if we went upstream may not have got under ridge on way back, The scenery was great as was the bird life, Swans, Kingfishers, Swifts even a Marsh Harrier. The boat is electric motored and therefore absolutely quiet which makes the trip... More

An hour on a small boat with the friendly skipper Peter. My mum has difficulties walking, and Peter done everything he could to help us. Really relaxing, especially after a Sunday roast, and a bargain at £9 each.

Great and soporific trip on the river. We saw kingfishers! Apparently there are beavers and otters too! We caught the ferry at Grove Ferry and boated upstream. Lovely!

Met at the pub for lunch and noticed the sign for Boat Rides. It was a cold windy day but the trip was still really good and the guide gave us blankets. Beautiful piece of the Stour to see and poodle along Would highly recommend!
