More
The island to the northeast of Singapore is the only place to see an example of the traditional kampong villages that once covered the city-state. It’s a go-to spot for cyclists and hikers with miles of nature trails that weave through old rubber plantations and seaside ecosystems no longer found on the main island. Get there from Changi Point Ferry Terminal via a traditional bumboat for $2.50 a seat – captains will leave only when all seats are sold or if you pay the difference.

I don't know about the "more traditional way of life" that so many reviews mention, unless I am wrong in suspecting that olde Singapore's economy did not run on bicycle tourism. Either way, I am a cyclist and found the We did not see anyone...More

You wouldn't believe you are in Singapore! $3 on the bumboat each way from Changi town gets you to this gorgeous little island. Hiring a mountain bike is the best way to see the island, but there is also a small taxi service. The island...More
