We travelled 90 minutes to get here today and withing 1 minute of our arrival we had Robins feeding from our hands! There were many small birds that we were within feet of including Nuthatch and Coal Tit. We also saw Red Deer and several waders including Greenshank, Redshank and Lapwing. Gagging to see the Ssoonbills & otters we eventually found Leighton Moss. Seems that its popularity is causing traffic problems so The Highways Agency have "greyed out" all the signs. Huh? After navigating a packed car park ('twas a Sunday) we were given a wonderful & warm welcome, advised where to visit and set loose. The paths are easy to walk... More
