Great walk and views, ultra popular at night.

Bike path, walking and running paths, great place for sunset. The westward section does smell of rotting fish so be judicious or walk fast. Merida drivers at night outside the... read more

A bit of a confusion of modern and not very creative buildings but it comes into its own at Carnaval time, when it should not be missed.

No beaches but well planned and executed male con. Locals abound and are friendly. Plenty of places to stop an dress for the loss ambitious. Seperate paved lanes for walkers, bikes and runners.

Bike path, walking and running paths, great place for sunset. The westward section does smell of rotting fish so be judicious or walk fast. Merida drivers at night outside the historic district are aggressive so be careful heading home.

Stinky walk. Wind must be blowing in the wrong direction. Smelt of sewer. Not much of a beach. Not very busy. Lots of room for bikes, runners etc, but didn't see any.

We walked several miles on the Malecon. All the way out to Fuerte de San Miguel and back. Then on another day in the opposite direction to the collection of shore side restaurants (be forewarned that the restaurants located side by side are very persistent in trying to reel you into their particular establishment). The Malecon is a nice clean... More

This coast line boulevard is good for walking or running in the evening. Sunset is really nice as sun is dropping in the sea providing really nice colors. If you visit Campeche this is definitely worth checking.

We rented bikes from the Pirate shop on 59. We had checked out others but these were 150 pesos for all day. They had baskets and the bikes were in good shape. We explored the Malecon all day and really enjoyed it. We even went in the evening when it was cooler and stopped at a seafood restaurant by the... More

Best time to run or take a walk on the waterfront promenade is early morning or at sunset. Not too busy, nice breeze, overlook to the Gulf of Mexico.

The folks in Campeche have done a lot to make their city beautiful and this is an example. The "malacon" stretches for several kilometres along the gulf. Good for strolling, jogging or biking. A couple of spots along the way have exercise machines. Nice to walk, especially at sundown.

Otherwise knows by locals as the "Malecon" is an excellent place to run or walk early mornings or afternoons. Beautiful views of the Campeche Bay. Recommended
