A beautiful beach and good snorkeling!

This was a nice beach that didn't seem overcrowded. It was busy, but still a nice vibe. Parking can be packed, but you can park out on road and just walk a small bit, no big deal. You can rent beach chairs, we didn't. I think people try and stop you and almost make it sound like you have to... More

Go early, as the parking is minimal. It also cost $10.00 per chair. The water can be rough at time, but the beach is great. Also, you have 2 cookeries that make great ribs and chicken. The cocktails are great as well. I highly recommend this beach.

We visited Baie Rouge on a Friday in January. When we pulled in to the parking lot at the end of the road, we were greeted by two men who fought over us---which one of them would have the privilege of renting us beach chairs? We went to the left hand side and down the stone steps to Gus' Beach... More

You may rent chairs that are spaced apart-and I really appreciate the fact I don't have to listen to two housewives from New Jersey, who probably live in the same neighborhood back home, chat and chat and chat. (I avoid beaches that stack the chairs three deep from the water) The area is very interesting to view with sheer cliffs... More

We visit Red Beach during every vacation on SXM! Chez Raymond is the main reason! Great grilled foods for lunch..fish, chicken, ribs, in a meal or a sandwich! Of course the other reason is the FROZEN DRINKS! Happy Hour Starts at 3 - 4 half price on the frozen drinks! Nice variety of drinks and his specialty..Raymond Special..it has almost... More

This is definitely one of the best beaches in St. Maarten. I spent a few hours there and it was great.

Went island sightseeing by atv and this was one stop. Nice clean little beach and the sand is soft. Seemed to be a lot of families there on this day. There is parking but I can see how it could get very busy and hard to find a spot. Nice little find and place to spend the afternoon. I did... More

This is worth going to for the two beach bars that are located there. You literally are seated at chairs that sink into the sand when you sit down just feet from the water. We ate at Gus's Beach Bar which has to start the generator when they turn on the blender for the daquaries. Definitely worth the stop for... More

It's been years since we visited Baie Rouge and today, returned. We like to walk beaches and after fighting the mushy, grainy sand and sinking up to our ankles, we gave up. Raymond's has good food, if you don't mind the 2 hour process from sitting down at a table to leaving. The worst thing is the "bathroom." No running... More

If you can find Baie Rouge it's the nicest beach on the island that we found. Really good Snorkeling on the far right of the beach. This was by far the least crowded and waves were not bad the day we were there. This is a good spot to spend the day relaxing! I attached a picture by the road... More
