Located in Floriana, these were orginally Grandmaster Pinto's private gardens but later this became a botanical garden. If you want to escape the crowds of Valletta for a while, this is a short walk away. Argotti doesn't get nearly as busy as the Upper Baracca...More

Formal park grounds. Interesting plants maybe behind the locked gates. No evidence of labeling or attempt to create awareness of interesting plants. Rows and rows of florists plants. Not worth the special trip except for inclusion in the historic walk of Floriana.

September is the wrong time of year to visit, everything has gone over. Plenty of trees and some terrapins in a pond. Was part of the Presidential Palace and is open to the public free of charge

We visited this very beautiful place today and found it peaceful and restful. Within there is a striking Anzac memorial which I thought was serene. A pleasant walk from Valletta city centre

The garden was re-opened after a lengthy renovation last week. The pavement is all new and looks good as do the new fences beyond the entrance. The other, stick and rope, fences are ok. The planting however is not improved at all. In the way...More

Unfortunately for the Floriana 'garden feast 2017' the Argotti Botanical Garden was out of bounds. Lucky for me I had visited this enchanting oasi of silence so near the hustle and bustle of the capital city countless times. One of its plant and flower conservatories...More

We just stumbled across it and decided to get inside. We weren’t thrilled. It is perhaps a fifteen minute leisurely stroll from the main bus station yet seemed to be entirely devoid of tourists unlike much of the rest of the city. It offers some...More

A short walk from Valletta, nestled amongst other Floriana points of interest. Gate may be locked but just press the bell, as directed, for someone to let you in. The garden has thousands of potted plants, a huge collection of cacti and wonderful trees that...More

I visited it just before the closing time but it is nothing special. It is a small park with a fountain and palmas and that is about it. If you are in the area, take a look, why not. But I would not go there...More

I found this place by chance, when I was walking to Hastings Garden. It fact it looks like a park rather than a botanical garden. Not very big,it offers some nice views from its walls. No very impressing vegetation inside, some cactuses and a few trees with strange roots.
