Quiet camping on inlet

Excellent birdlife. Lits of fairy wrens, Gang gangs wattle birds and others. Beautifully clean areas with lovely caretaker.

There are views across the water and prolly good for kids to play in the sand and water, but there's really nothing else there at the end of this dead end road.

There is a little mud, but it is not that bad! It is more a fishing area though when we went we virtually had the whole area to ourselves. Ask the locals for best roads to access from. I think it is Adams road that is the non-windy side!

Great place to go for a walk or drop in a line. The southern end is lined on the eastern side by the National park.

Stayed here one night in one of the budget cabins which was well-priced, around $88/night during off-peak season. The caravan park is well-located, near the entrance to Wilson's Prom, and is in a lovely setting itself, at Duck Bay. The budget cabin was basic but perfectly adequate for one night. Shared bathroom facilities were clean and functioned fine.

We stay at caravan parks a lot. Sometimes tenting and sometimes in chalets. We have rarely had a bad experience. But Shallow Inlet Caravan Park was something different. We hired an ensuite cabin. Can't remember the price but linen and towels were $15 per bed extra. Our cabin smelled strongly of disinfectant - I think it had been unused for... More

Been coming here for few years now. Staff are friendly, close to beach , close to Wilsonpromontry, good amenity, very clean amenity. our kids love coming here and we've been here since they were little, and now they are almost high school age. Very relaxing caravan park.

We drove out to Sandy Point on part sunny day. We went down on the beach but the wind off the sea was very strong and cold which accounted for the beach being deserted. We drove on a little and found Shallow Inlet. We parked up on the road, the tide was in. We went paddling in the shallow waters.... More

Long drive to reach long flat shallow beach once used for stock landing- now used by 4WDs and boat launchers that line up along the beach- more vehicles than sun bathers.

On the ocean but without waves, shallow inlet is for the kid... swimming, canoe, slide down the dunes, driving a kite... and looking the fisherman.
