Came here at noon and the weather was great. Sunny but fresh and most of all not foggy. There are a few fees to pay before you get to the top. Parking €5 because they don't allow cars to go up anymoreat a certain point....More

Visited during the off-season on a sunny, warm day. We were told by a shop keeper there was no bus in the off-season from Pompeii to Vesuvius N.P. But then we kept passing the local transit bus headed to the park. We had a car...More

For my first volcano visit it was very impressive. We took a tour bus to take us up and then you have to walk a bit. The views are breathtaking. Don't choose the last tour of the day because you will be in a hurry...More

It’s a beautiful hike. You pay €5 to park your car and have the option to hike along the road to the ticket office or take the little van for a fee. You pay €10 per person to hike up to the top of the...More

It’s not often you get the opportunity to see a volcano 🌋 and an active one at that. It’s a must see. Hard work in the walk up and slippy in the way down. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

We drove up as far as we were allowed in the National Park. We splurged for the bus (approx 5 Euros for 2) that saves you about 2 Km (Mile and 1/2) all uphill. Drop off is at the ticket kiosk. Make sure you buy...More

This park includes a hike to the top of the crater. You can walk around and view several summits. Seeing the crater from several different vantage points was truly awe inspiring. The wildflowers were lovely in the summer. Views on the drive up the hike...More

We parked at the entrance to the park - close to the parking kiosk - cost 5 Euros. We didn't bother with the bus and walked up. It's an hour up and 50 minutes down (the bus will save you about 20 minutes each way)....More

Not a steep climb to the top, rather a steady walk uphill for those who exercise once a week. The view from the top of Naples, Pompeii and inside the volcano are amazing and well worth seeing if you're visiting this wonderful part of Italy.

This was a long hike but worth the view. When you arrive by car you park in a lower area and can take a taxi or walk to the entrance. Parking was €5. We walked to the entrance but I would suggest the taxi as...More

The only thing there is a parking lot. There are some restaurants about halfway so maybe you could enjoy some local wine while he makes his trip

There is no where that I know of that you could store your luggage. If you are driving there is a paid parking lot that had two police officers there today. I would assume it is rather safe
