This temple is situated in Virar and one of the major tourist place there. It is really tiring to climb the steps and reach the temple and more than that so many shops before the temple to snatch you to buy offering for goddess. This is majorly popular among the north Indian population. Be aware, don't go if you are... More

The place can be reached by getting down at Virar station towards the east side. The rope-way system is really well maintained and safe. Ticket cost rs 100, to & fro. Children and senior citizen can avail 50℅ discount by showing ID proof.

First things first. I am an atheist and did not visit the main shrine because I did not want to remove my shoes. All the shops right from the bottom of the 1400 odd stairs (and there is literally one shop for each step) would haggle with you trying to coax you into removing your shoes in their shop. The... Located 3-4 Kms from Virar station, the temple on the hilltop provides a mesmerizing view of Virar. One may get shared auto rickshaw from the station. For outsiders to Mumbai, the best way to travel is by catching a Virar local. Best time to visit is early morning where u get the feel of the fresh air n early morning... More

The temple is located at a hill top, very much visible from major city areas. O reach the site, get down at virar station, walk towards east side, hire a shared auto for Rs 15 / 20 to reach temple areas. This has become a hotspot for tourists. For convenience of aged people, ropeway is available. Morning climb after 5... More

We started our trip around 5:30 PM by stairs. We were misled by few boys that the ropeway is closed after 5:00 PM, but later on came to know that it operates till the temple closure. For elders, ropeway should be preferred. We reached the top around 6:20, as we had small kid and elders. There are 1460 steps, as... More

Jivdani mata temple is located on the top of a hill in Virar. One can visit this temple anytime in a year but it's most visited during Navratri days. You can reach temple either using steps (approx.1500) or by cable car. After darshan, you can enjoy the scenic views from the top. Must visit place if you are near Virar.
