If marine drive is known as the necklace of Mumbai, the strand is also the necklace of Chandannagore. To speak the truth very few cities in the country are so lucky to have one such strand. The strand is about 750 metre long , so walking up and down one may cover 1.5 KM walk . The strand is provided... More

The Strand is the heart of Chandannagar, which stretches about 1-2 kms alongside the holy Ganges river. It is a lovely place for hanging out with friends, family or even just with yourself. In numerous banyan trees with benches placed at regular intervals to give you shade and rest. Great place !!!

A winter morning or an autumn evening here with your beloved is probably the one of the most romantic time-frame you can have in your entire lifetime. Having said that, it... More

The Hooghly Riverside strand bears the signature of the French colonial rule in Chandan nagore since mid 17th century. The promenade is a popular destination among locals for an afternoon stroll. The area is well maintained and upgraded to carry the heritage. A nice place for tourists to observe the french touch in the area.

The Strand is the river front of the town. Its a wide road with colonial buildings on one side and the Ganges on the other. Its a nice place to stroll in the evening but beware the monkeys.

If you want to spend a perfect evening out with friends or partner, this is perhaps one of the favorable spots at the banks of the Ganges.

It is the best place to visit in chandannagar apart from visiting in the Jagatdhrattri pujas. Very nice place and well maintained. It is very easy to get there as a lot of options are available to get there from the railway station. One can easily walk through the roods to get to it. Every should at least once visit... More
