Although its dark history permeates throughout the visit, the island is simply beautiful. Made of Charming little streets full of flowers and well preserved historical buildings. This is but one of many historical sites and buildings on Ile de Goree. There is like a central park open space which I'd recommend you use as compass for a sense of direction on the island. Head straight as you approach from the pier...More
