We all enjoyed the tour, including teenage kids. It was interesting to learn about and see something ordinary people don't get to see often.

For some reason you can only pay for the tour at the starting time p, now before. It is worth booking as it is very popular. The tour starts with a useful video of space dimensions and the principles of telescopes and astronomy. It makes...More

Third time I have visited this attraction and I must say, if the visitors centre was a little more up to scratch, it would definitely deserve a much higher rating as the tour guides and staff are lovely, well educated individuals. Telescopes and trivia are...More

Book in advance for the your, which takes in a short film, explanations of solar activity, spectrum analysis and the evolution of telescopes, before getting back in your car and, in scenes reminiscent of the wacky races, follow the guide up, through the gate, to...More

I would recommend Sterland, with Jurg as your guide for any stargazing in Sutherland. 2 nights minimum, as if the 1st night is overcast you still have a chance for the 2nd night. They do recommend winter as the best time to... More
