The place is worth visiting. The spacious ruins of a castle are at the heart of interest, worth walking around and entering both. It is a great place for rock climbers to practice as well. At the foot of a castle you will find a...More

Coming to Krakow, Ogrodzieniec castlemay not be on the travellers' list. However, I strongly recomend the place. You can take a mini bus from the main bus station lower floor to the site. I took the 8.30am bus and reached there around 9.35am. Remember to...More

It is one of my favourites. We took a trip to several castles situated quite close to one another, and this one is really great. Apart from the ruins there is also a nice view from the castle and very picturesque rocks. After buying a...More

In the middle of very interesting place there is a castle and for sure you will be busy and eager to see every corner of it. History is everywhere and you can feel like a king.

Ogrodzieniec Castle is really crowded especially during so called "long weekends". I mean 1st, 2nd, 3rd May (national holidays) and anjoining Saturdays and Sundays, as well as the weekend with Corpus Christi holiday - in 2018 it is 31st May to 3rd June. The sunnier...More

We did not expect much from ruins but it was a great visit. You probably do not need more than 1 hour to see it all as there are no rooms. But the tour is worth seeing - a lot of climbing stairs though -...More

We went to the castle on a Saturday. You can buy a ticket to the castle that also includes a visit to the Grod na Górze Birów which is about 20 to 25 minutes walk away. The Castle itself has a lot of history and...More

One of the best preserved castle ruins in the area and the one with the best presentation. Spectacular scenery. Make sure you visit it when you are in yhe area.

It is very nice place. It is worth to go. Some small shops with good souvenirs and some restaurants avoid Stodola restaurant. There is plenty of car parks too. Few minutes walk from car park to the castle.

No, you can only buy tickets directly at the entrance. They do not provide it online. You can always order a guide by e-mail: biuro@zamek-ogrodzieniec.pl but I think, the best is to discover the castle itself.

You should better travel by PKP train. First, go to Zawiercie station, then take a bus no 7 to Podzamcze.
