This museum is located on the island of Burano and we had admission through the our Venezia Unica Platinum pass. Whilst this museum was small in comparison to other museums it did not detract from its importance. It showed on how the lace industry developed...More

Hello Rosanne M, I went on to their website and got this information: from April 1st to November 1st 10 am – 6 pm (ticket office 10 am – 5:30 pm) from November 2nd to March 31st 10 am – 5 pm (ticket office 10 am – 4:30 pm) Closed on Mondays, December 25th, January 1st Trip Advisor has a policy prohibiting folks from giving web site info but if you search with the Museo title you already have, you will get the relevant information. It's a small interesting museum with a short film on lace making at the beginning. The upstairs rooms show some examples of ancient work and also photos, paintings, and things of interest that pertain to lace-making and its history. It's a small part of the attractions on the island of Burano. We liked the walking, looking, and seeing all there is on this quaint island. Enjoy your time in the Venice area of Italy. If you think of anything I can help you with further, please send a PM (private e-mail) and I will do my best to help you. We were fortunate to have several days in Venice on our own, before the second of our tours began. We went to all the islands on a one-day Vaporetto pass. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Hvar, Croatia (one of our favorite places on this planet), there is a convent of nuns who display their amazingly detailed work (made from fibers of the Yucca plant) and they also have a museum that is probably 10 times more impressive than anything you have ever seen. I would also caution you that the water transportation to the islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello is time-consuming so, if you go, get up early. Happy travels to you!
