We ride up with our mountain bikes, very tough buy rewarding. The scenery was great, changing scenes as we ride up the elevation. The trail along the river add the beauty of the place.

Kegety gorge and waterfall are located close to Burana tower, which make them good combination for a day trip near Bishkek. In the valley you can find some yurts, where locals offer fresh kumys. The waterfall can be reached by car, the road is 200 metres from the waterfall.

Kegety Gorge is not as well known as the valleys closer to Bishkek, but it has as much, perhaps more, to offer with less crowds. There are several popular hiking destinations in the valley including the Kel-Tor Lake hike (east valley) and some roadside attractions including the Kegety Waterfall (west valley). And you can find good places for camping, hiking, 4x4, and mountain biking throughout the valley. Services are basic but you can find some lodges and cafes.

I went to Kegety Gorge for a day trek with TUK and it was easy going. We took the car very fair up the gorge and then trekked up to the small alpine lake and had lunch. Its an easy going trek without a lot of difficulties. I plan to go there again this summer.
