Excellent example of an English cottage planting. A must see to all garden lovers. Staff were friendly and knowlegable.

a wonderful garden, full of a wide variety of plants - could do with more labels, but very interesting. The tower is well worth the climb and it is a good idea to do it first so as to get an idea where everything is.

Visited early September, in a bit cloudy, showery day. I though (maybe from the name) that I will see some castle, too with nice collection, but it was only my unpreparedness, that I did not check properly the NT site and other's reviews. So it...More

The Garden and the house are a mustsee, the story is remarkable! The Gardens are stonning! Up and running by the National Trust... The coffee and homecooked food is recommended!

On a fine August day we visited Sissinghurst for the right reason; to see the famous gardens. Indeed, one of our own gardens had been modelled on the White Garden! The gardens were so full of flowers and other interesting plants & features it's really...More

As we live in Kent, we're trying to visit Sissinghurst at different times of the year. But whenever you go there are such beautiful flowers to see. It's a peaceful haven in a busy world. It 's worth going up the tower too; fascinating exhibitions...More

We were blown away with sissinghurst gardens. So magical, it's a must see. We went in August and the dahlias were in full bloom and caught the end of the roses. There's a nice national trust cafe with delicious cakes!

Glorious gardens. A fabulous tower. Great gist shop. Lots of room to rain about. Child friendly but probably not buggy friendly. Pricey unless you are a National Trust member already

Great Dixter is closed on Mondays. Sissinghurst is normally open every day, but next year's opening times won't be published yet. I would phone the National Trust direct.

No, there isn't a castle. There is a small tower that you can climb up. There is also an old library on the property. Outside of the ticketing area there is also a museum type room which displays some of the history of... More
