Mr. Sudirman has been in business for 40 years, he told us, and has been mentioned in a few coffee-table books on Indonesian art. My friend and I ended up spending over an hour in the shop when we'd just popped in to have a look on the strength of previous TripAdvisor reviews. This is not the place to get... More

Mr Sudirman took the time and effort to explain and show us many different items. His antiques are mainly from Lombok, but also from other islands of Indonesia. Items range from old tools, sculptures, weapons to modern day built wayang puppets, and many things more. If you appreciate antiques this is a really nice store with a knowledgeable and kind... We were sitting across the street eating some lunch when we saw this shop. We decided to come in and check it out, it was awesome. Like the rest of the reviewers, it was as if stepping back in time or going to a local museum. We really had our eye on the bird traps there, Mr. Sudirman gave us... More

I was spoiled for choices here. They have plenty of goods that represent Lombok specifically and Indonesia in general. there were paintings, batik, clothes, musical instruments and many more. The prices varies but they are mostly reasonably priced.

Senggigi on the West coast of Lombok is a hidden treasure. Sudirman Antiques is filled with brass and wooden pieces from all over Lombok and provide the visitor with great insght into its history.

Sudirman has a great eye and an amazing collection of pieces from across the eastern end of the Indonesian archipelago, much better than anything I saw in Bali which is ordinarily seen as the trading hub for tribal arts and textiles in the region. He is kind and chatty and I hope to be seeing him again before long to... More

If you've been kicking around SE Asia for a while, you will be familiar with antique shops and shops selling old stuff. Once in a while, you chance upon a shop like Mr Sudirman's and you've died and gone to heaven. Mr Sudirman has been in business for a very long time. His shop looks like it is a forgotten... More
