Very nice place to visit. Not far from manila. Beautiful views and there's horse riding near by. There's also a market with local goods

If you want to see Taal Volcano up close, have a full meal and pack with you lots of water and extra clothes. Make sure you're wearing pants, rubber shoes, and a hat because the trek going up the mouth is going to be crazy hot and dusty. You need to have lots of water with you because you'll get... More

One of my favourite Philippines experiences! If it is not too hot/humid, the best way to experience the volcano is by hiking. Although riding a horse was a pretty cool experience up the volcano. Amazing view! Would be better with a guide to explain some things. But the beauty of the Philippines is that it is pretty well, or by... More

2h drive from Manila to Taal lake, a 40 min boat ride across to the Volcano base and then a good 2.5 hour trek walking or 1 hour horse back. You will be greeted with the most amazing views of inside a volcano crater and around the lake. The Volcano is still active with smoke rising from the various pot... More

The Taal lake and volcano could be a great place to visit. However, the charges to the tourists for ridiculous things make this place by the people selling the tours make it very average. The tricycle fares in and around Tagaytay are modest, but if you want to go to the lake shore they rise steeply to 500 pesos, probably... More

We did a package tour, boat ride-hike (included horses and guides but we just hiked) and all entrance/parking fees. The cost was 5,000 pesos for a family of four and it was well worth it. The view is spectacular and makes the hike worth it. It took about half a day to do it all but if you go to... More

We couldn't get a boat to the Taal Volcano so took the next best option. From the hill top we could clearly see the volcano and the awesome scenery surrounding the Taal volcano. Well worth the visit to Tagaytay City to get a few photos of this volcano.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! While it is a rather expensive activity, it is a unique experience that we enjoyed tremendously. To describe it in short, it is a lake on an island, in the lake there is a volcano (active, by the way, you can see smoke coming from the ground in several areas), in... More

Nice site though I didn't explore it as well as I'd have liked. Ate at 2 locations surrounding it and got a few nice fotos. Go if you have the time and see more than I did.
