Stayed here for 4 days. Amazing sheltered beach which we had to ourselves most of the time. Safe for swimming as it’s so calm. Great wildlife, and we even saw a few seals. Great family stay

A wonderful beach, safe for children within easy reach of the village. With lovely views across to Karatane and if you're lucky, the sight of several horses on one vehicle exercising on the beautiful sandy beach

This would have to be one of the most amazing beaches. Great walk from Matanaka end to the mouth at Karitane.Great for swimming but the beach is NOT patrolled

This Beach is one of Otago's best kept secrets. Its a large bay with wonderful safe swimming. Great walk from Matanaka end to Karitane. Historical buildings at top of hill well worth the look.
