Nice beach in West Bengal. Not crowded like Digha yet it's moderately busy. Probably the longest beach of West Bengal. The approach roads to this beach are nice and an accommodation can be easily arranged here. One of the very few places to experience sun rise.

After seeing all the nearby beaches at Digha, New Digha, Udaipur, Talseri, Shankarpur and Tajpur, this was a total letdown. Nothing special or interesting about the beach, much of which has been enclosed by hotels anyway. The area around the parking lot is congested and dirty. Checked out some of the hotels - definitely overpriced given the attractions.

It is a clean and less crowded beach. But, there were less activities to do. Activities like paragliding and driving on the beach were not allowed when I had visited. Enjoyed early morning or evening walk on the beach. Sea water is not very clean and waste water from many hotels is directly going to the sea. There are many... More

Very nice beach...you can enjoy weekends. The sea is calm and quiet. You can walk inside the sea very easily.

One of the unique beach I have seen as the shore is full of silt that holds tight even after high tide. Looks damp and moist but easy to walk on. Waves are not violent and afternoon is a good time to bath during winters.

Best for couples honeymoon. A flavor of romanticism is in the air. Also great for adventure sports, have to be good at bargaining though. Two night Three days stay is enough to get devoured into the trip. There is magic in the feeling. Do not miss the sunrise and the sunset.

This is a wide-stretched beach where one can relax in peaceful, serene surroundings, but the waves are too feeble for enjoying a bath. Few sports activities are also available, but they won't provide the so-called thrill. Very clean and tidy beach and perfectly suited for experiencing the sunset with your loved one.

A very clean beach where you can spend one or two beautiful day with your family or loved ones. Bathing in the sea is not very enjoyable as you have to walk long to get even knee-deep water in sea.

Not a very good beach. It is dirty at several places. Won't find good shacks at the beach. But only beach near Kolkata.
