Large, 212-square kilometre lake with clean, crystal clear, fresh-water. Lots of fun activities available. Lots of scenic places and photo ops.

This is a beautiful part of China...don't miss it if you have the chance . Take a catamaran out on the lake. Enjoy the local Yunnan food

The lake is pretty but something has changed and now no swimming is allowed and we don’t see any boats or water sports going on. We were told there was a place you could take a boat 15 minutes away from our hotel. Our hotel used to have a beach but now it was changed to grass and people aren’t allowed within 200 feet of the water. Seems to be some green algae growing on the rocks around the lake. Don’t know if these things are true all around the lake or not.

It's an amazing place, a heaven. Nice for relaxation and with a very cheap and perfect hotel on the island among the lake. you can have a nice view of lake from your room's balcony.
It sounds unfamiliar for foreigner, cause I think my friends and I were the first foreigner there.
I visited there on 2011, but here I can choose 2012. Oops!

My family (3 kids) went to Fuxian Lake which is less tourist spot and deepest plateau lake in China. Our guide Eric (Yunnan Taste) cycled with us around the lake for 3 hours and enjoyed a open hotspring which is beside the lake. The most exciting thing is all members of my family swum in this chinese deepest freshwater lake.

I stayed at a tiny tourist town in Yunna side of the Lake. Clean waters, lively atmosphere. Try the stone pot fish soup famous here. Very yummy :)

What a surprise to see such clean water at Fu Xian Lake, so close to Kunming. We had a lovely time there!

This deep lake has cool blue water, which makes it a pleasant weekend getaway from Kunming. Takes about an hour and a half by car. Bus takes longer.
Unfortunately, it was raining when my friends and I went, so the pleasure boats were not taking people out. A very few tough people were swimming, but it was too cold for me.
We still had an enjoyable time making shao kao 烧烤 BBQ under a plastic lakeside tent. We bought our food in town (Chengjiang 澄江) to get a better selection, then rented a grill with live coals once we got to the lake.
A very basic toilet was available across the road.
