Stayed 2 nights there during a field trip. The place is really nice and pristine. Mountains go up to 3,000 meters are covered by trees at this height. In the contrary, the area close to Queretaro is desert-like. Really nice for hiking trips.

We spent 2 wonderful, busy days with Eleno in the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve....and would highly recommend it to people who want to see some of Mexico's natural beauty and rural lifestyle. We usually visit Queretaro, so we are supposed to be common to the area. But this time we decided to go farther, to Sierra Gorda.
