Authentic family farm! Located on the hill overlooking the beautiful and bucolic Oka valley. Discover our collections of 25 differents variéties of fruits. General store with farm products (fruits and honey-bee products. In the picnic area, an antique wood-oven is used to cook our delicious treats. August to october. Personalized group tours led by experiences guides are available in french and english. We offer guided visits with tasting of the farm products, explore the farm on a tractor ride to discover our agricultural production and environment.

If you are visiting a sugar shack for the first time, I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place. It is overrated l, over priced and lack in selection for what you are paying. We took the “luxurious” menu for 89$ each and it consisted of a soup, waffle with a mountain of Ham and 1 dry sausage with no condiments and side of beans.
Let’s not even touch the subject about the service! There is absolutely none. We were not greeted, explained the menu or offered to add or pay for any extra ! The service was EXTRA slow to the point once we received our plate it was just thrown at us. Will definitely never ever go back and will advise my people to not try it out. Go to Charbonneau instead!

It is certain that our prices are related to the quality of the food we serve and are somewhat higher than a regular sugar shack. We are surprised by so much dissatisfaction, because we work very hard to satisfy every visitor. Could you contact us to follow up on your visit please. It was our annual apple outing and we were tempted by a new place. The orchard is ordinary, not many accessible apples and very few ladders available to work there. Also, very poor customer service, they are blinded by money, don't realize that visitors are human customers, we feel more like ATMs on 2 legs. I gave the woman who was responsible for the place (the owner, or I'm not sure) an honest chance to correct herself, in order to resolve a very small misunderstanding, which should not have taken on these proportions in my opinion, regarding the number of bracelets to be distributed equitably to our large family of 18. I have observed an extremely rigid and unreasonable mentality. In fact, we bought 6 half-boxes for our entire group (take note of this before your visit, each half-box of $32 allows us to distribute bracelets for 4 people for access to the orchard), so we would have normally entitled to 24 bracelets. The problem? In our group, it was the family of 7 who purchased the half box last, so they were only allowed 4 bracelets. No way to have the 3 missing bracelets, despite the 5 other boxes purchased just before by the 11 other people in our group! My mother-in-law was alone on her box, she could have given her 3 other bracelets if they were given to her... But the woman there was adamant! The family of 7 now had to buy the largest box at $62 to get their requested 7 bracelets. She told us to think about this before purchasing. Quite a business sense... Especially since it was impossible for us to predict, because it is nowhere indicated that the maximum number of bracelets per half-box is 4. Bravo ma'am! Good news for you, you won't have us in your hands next year... but you might miss our money a little more.

Bonjour la famille Giguère, comme nous vous avons répondu sur nos autres réseaux, votre groupe ne voulais pas respecter le mode de fonctionnement d’achat d’un panier par personne ou la grande boîte pour 6 membres d’une même famille disant ne pas vouloir de pommes…pourquoi venir au verger? Nous sommes un domaine privé agrotouristique et nous vous offrons une activité familiale à part entière et oui, nous demandons un minimum d’achat de pommes pour entrer au verger en temps de récoltes. Vous pensez entrer, manger des pommes, faire des balades en tracteurs et profiter de l’ensemble du site sans frais? Désolée! De plus vos enfants ont 18-19 et 20 ans, il faut qu’ils aient leur minimum d’achat requis pour chacune des membres de votre famille pour avoir accès au site et pour être équitable également. Quand vous aller au cinéma dites-vous que vos enfants vont être assis à côté de vous sans écouter le film pour ne pas payer leur place? De plus votre groupe a été très impoli, irrespectueux envers notre équipe et notre site, désolée mais c'est inacceptable et votre acharnement très déplorable. La famille Labonté de la pomme

Being forced to buy a box size depending on the number of people in a family is ridiculous. My 4 month old baby had to pay for his basket if I didn't take the box. One box is way too much for us. 2 baskets would have been enough for us. In addition we bought pumpkins..
It would be nice to indicate on your website how the entrance fee actually works. It's just to mention that there is no entrance fee, that it is a fruit purchase only. A Pumpkin is a fruit, right?
In short, never could. $32 for about 30 apples...ayoye. And not to mention that the site indicates such varieties but ultimately there are 3..

Bonjour Marie-Philippe, comme nous vous avons répondue sur nos autres réseaux, nous avons effectivement un minimum d’achat requis, mais il semble avoir eu erreur, car effectivement un jeune bébé ne devrait pas compter dans l’équation, vous nous voyez désolées de cette erreur bien involontaire, veuillez accepter nos plus sincères excuses. En ce qui a trait au calendrier de cueillette, il est bien indiqué comme étant le portrait d’une saison type, le tableau est à titre indicatif seulement, chaque saison est unique, mais vous informe également sur certaines caractéristiques de chacune des variétés. The apple orchard is nice. Lots of different types of apples. On arrival we were greeted by a very helpful guide who explained all the different types of apples ( with tasting). The tractor ride into the orchard was a bit bumpy. Their roads should be redone. Also the timing of the riding into the orchard and then picking up is a bit long, especially for clients with limited mobility. We waited over 20 minutes after we were finished picking and then decided to walk back. The price was the same as all the other orchards. The general store/restaurant was clean. The famous onion soup took long to get and for our taste it was too sweet. The grilled cheese was tasty, but not everyone likes it on raisin bread. The price of the sausage with bread was outrageous. $5.00 extra if you want bread with your sausage.....plus tax. The play area for the kiddies was nice. No blowup jump castles! Nice tractors for the kiddies to play. Not so commercial which is nice. Did not go to see the petting zoo.

Just an average place with supposed to have 4 varieties of apples, honestly look like only one kind. Apple are good quality but really 20 buck for 20 pounds of self pick. Restaurant is ridiculously picked at 10 bucks for french onion soup ( super salty and inedible ) small pizza burned outside while you wait. so 4 people can barely eat with no drinks for about 65 bucks , had to let them know they forgot my order, told me if it happens again to come back to the counter,.. no worries I will not be back.

What an excellent place... i have been there many times to pick up apples and this was the first time for the sugar shack and i had a fantastic surprise. The food was more than delicious, i will say it thousands of times, that onion soup is just the best. Really worh to try it

Summer 2018 has been hot, humid, and horrible - this past weekend was one of the best so far. Of course, Oka was over-run and busy at every stop. We still managed to get in-and-out quickly with our picked, box of apples - lots of good selection available. From previous visits we know this is the best time of year - in a few weeks the best apples will be on the highest branches and swarms of wasps will be after the ones on the ground.
I would say that things could be done a bit differently to accommodate the large crowds: Why line up to pay for your food and then have to join a second line-up to get your food? Also, the parking area was very busy but staff assigned here were just standing around looking useless.

Super place, great location, I was overwhelmed by the food. Quality vs price, you will not go wrong with their food.
Service was more than excellent. I know its out of the way for many people, but more than worth you drive and the scenery is nice.

We went to Labonté de la pomme in late August. We went plum picking for the first time. The trees were full of delicious plums. We also bought pears from the orchard. When we were finished fruit picking, we went to the little farm in the woods were we saw and heard a rooster, hens, and goats.
There is a trampoline for young children and a little square with big balloons for children to jump on. We didn't try the corn maze because my children were tired.
The staff was very nice!
I'm giving four stars because the fruits are a bit on the expenseive side.

Several things displeased us. We are a family with our 5 children and we had to buy a large box for $62 so that the family could have access to the trail. Too many apples for us but otherwise we are not allowed access to the orchard. Once in the cart, a child we don't know falls out of the cart. I don't know the reason but I think his toy had fallen. People ask the driver to stop because the little boy is trying to run behind him. The driver stops and quibbles the parents without asking if the child is okay.... Back at the orchard, we only have access to 3 kinds of apples. We would like empires that are all beautiful but a rope says that we cannot take them and they are constantly watching us, we would think we were surrounded by police. 30 minutes before closing, we are rushed to finish filling our boxes because it is closing soon. They come and repeat it to us at least 5 times to each of the people who stay in the orchard. He even told one person you wasted 4 minutes of my time. Some didn't even manage to finish filling their entire box. (At the price they are...) The atmosphere is not at all family, we see that the employees work under pressure from the owner. Never again will we go to this place.
