First you need to find it (be careful with satnavs - they take you to the wrong end), following signs from the centre of Popoli is better. It really is a nice relief from the heat and the autoroute, though it could be a but better looked after.

Nice easy location to get to - although beware the satnav, which takes you to the wrong side. Ample parking. Obviously a popular place with locals, so busier than some of the more out-of-the-way walks we found. This does, however, mean there are at least a cafe and facilities.
Watch carefully to the right of the water (from the wooden lookout) where you can actually see the water from below ground bubbling up, making beautiful, ever-moving sand sculptures.
Take a book, lie back and relax.

One of the most beautiful rivers I have ever seen, we were impressed! Really quiet too and a nice restaurant with special Italian beers.

Very close to the highway A25 exit "Bussi-Popoli", and so easy to reach and find, the Pescara Springs Park is a real heaven for people who are searching for some peace and rest.
When you park your car, you start a walk in the woods that, in a while, brings you near the springs of the river. Here, waters are deep blue and, somewhere, has a lapislazuli colour, as in a childish fantasy.
From there, you can take a path that brings you onto the hill nearby the springs where you can admire the stunning landscape that nature offers you!
It's an highly recommended visit for everyone who likes a calm walk in nature!
