Nice family day out

Very child orientated which is good, Its not a big aquarium so take a few trips on the travelator and watch the sharks turtles and rays.

There are many ocean species. I love Sea dragons and Jelly fish and Anemone fish. If You going with your children, It's worth to visit.

This is an interesting place to visit after the Millers Charter whale watching tour. But as a standalone place to visit, it's a little underwhelming when you've visited much larger aquariums. The place is rather small but the really fun area is the touching pool where you can stroke starfish, squids, sharks and stingrays. It's quite good and educational as... More

I met my girlfriend here for her daughter's birthday and it was a really nice morning out. The girls absolutely loved it and although it is not a big aquarium it is very child friendly and an enjoyable day out. Easy to miss things and as previous posts have said take your time and look at the different exhibits although... More

AQWA is a smallish Aquarium with plenty to see. From the different regional habitats being displayed through to the underwater tunnel and the outside pools it's all interesting. We met the same member of staff in about 4 different places, and she was very knowledgeable about all of them ( unless she was identical quadruplets?). We found it a great... More

I've been here many times and recently revisited with my niece. Do not be in a hurry and enjoy the experience of watching fish swim from beneath the waves. It can be seen quickly but plan for 2+ hrs. It is better than Sydney and Singapore, but it's showing it's age from it's early days. It happens to us all.... More

Was really good once I found out there was an app that u and kids can find all the different fish in each area, which kids loved and the sharks down stairs. Staff took money turned round and started there conversation again, was not told About app, on board said there would be talks at certain time!!!! No one was... More

My boyfriend and our 6 month old had such a great time. There is such a great range of exhibits, bright ones and scary ones and everything in between. The underwater tunnel with travelator is definitely a highlight, the sharks and rays are massive and its so cool to be able to see them from underneath. Its difficult to hear... More

Enjoyed the visit but had seen it all before. Managed to get a discount for seniors at the admissions booth but not really sure it was worth the money. Some of the exhibits were closed but what we did see was fair. Went on a weekday so not too many kids about. Used the cafe but found the staff disinterested.... More

A really interesting, well presented aquarium with something for all ages. This was our second visit, the first being 4 years ago and it has kept up its standards. The restaurant is ideal for lunch with good, freshly prepared food on offer. A must visit for all.
