Personal tour by the knowledgeable owners of an interesting historic family home dating back hundreds of years. Stunning location. Unfortunately no tea room open and the gardens in need of some serious TLC. Limited opening times but still worth a visit.

Found in a beautiful and secluded East Devon valley, Sand is a delight. The guided tour, conducted by resident members of the family that owns the house, is fascinating and well documented. A really worthwhile visit for anyone interested in the history of architecture.

This is a real little gem of a house nestled in the Roncombe Valley. Built of stone and so unspoilt, you really feel transported back hundreds of years. Every Summer they hold Shakespeare in the garden by travelling actors and it is held for charitable...More
