We decided to drop by here on our way back to Manila. You need to climb 500+ steps before you reach the grotto. Not for people who have medical concerns. It was very tiring however, you'll be rewarded once you reach the topmost portion. There is a small chapel and an area where you can take pictures. You need to... More

Going up 500+ is no joke especially when it's so hot out! Thank goodness it was somehow windy. Mama Mary devotee or not, the climb was worth it, you get to see the nice view of the ocean plus you get to pray to our Mother for whatever petitions you may have, who knows, your prayers might just be answered... It's long but lovely hike to the Virgin Mary shrine some 15km away from Caramoan town (not 9-10km walk but a good 15km hike, my guide book was incorrect with this distance). You're rewarded with some amazing views, both of the coastline and the interior. Back to Caramoan town by flagging down a truck in the absence of decent public... More

This was our second trip. Well worth the 500+ steps. Many places along the stairs to rest and take pics. Make sure u take some water to drink with you, since the store at the bottom is not always open.

I cant imagine i was able to reach the Grotto. I was hard for me to trek 524 steps. But once you reach the top, you will be amazed by the view of caramoan peninsula. Great time indeed for a peaceful prayer.

We weren't expecting this at all but I'm glad to have done it. This trip was included in our Caramoan adventure getaway. At first, 500 steps seemed easy but nope it's not. Some of us (meaning the girls) almost gave up (meaning our knees almost gave up). After finishing what seemed to be a never ending staircase, we had ourselves... More

Its a must to see when ur in caramaon .. Ull do a hard work for climbing via stairs to see the grotto on top of the mountain. Its a good exercise and a great scenery awaits you wen you reach the top of the mountain.... You can do picture taking. And ofcourse u can offer prayer to the chapel..... More
