Without doing any prior research, I was slightly surprised at the $45 camping fee (also, there are explicit rules prohibiting the gathering of firewood in the park and small bundles are offered at the front gate for $10/bundle). Despite these initial fees, I was amazed...More

This is a beautiful campground that has its own access to one of the most gorgeous white-sand beaches on Lake Tahoe. We have camped here twice for four or five days each time, and both experiences were excellent. Some tips: Try to look up the...More

We did not camp here, but visited Lester Beach, and were glad that we arrived before 11:00 a.m. because they stopped letting people in once the parking lot was full. This was the most beautiful of the north and west coast Lake Tahoe beaches that...More

Very nice well managed campground. Close to a a pleasant beach on the lake, and the beautiful Rubicon trail along the lake which connects to Emerald Bay. We had campsite #58, which was big enough for two tents spaced well apart. We bought tokens for...More

DL Bliss is well-kept and provides direct access to the lake. There is a small sandy beach and few trails depart from there.

We drove passed the campsites to the balancing rock area and all of us decided we would never camp there for any amount of money. Campsites are on top of each other and packed with people! Just not our idea of fun. We did really...More

Spent 5 nights in the East Ridge Camping Area. The park is beautiful and very well maintained. Rangers were very polite and helpful. We stayed in site 107 and it was very spacious, private and quiet. No bears or yellow jackets, only very friendly chipmunks!...More

The most beautiful hike I got to during this trip. The teal water was incredible. Take your time on this short hike, it's worth it. Take it all in.

No view of the lake. About 1.5 mile walk to the beach....downhill... I would drop off the family and beach stuff or get to the beach by 9:30 to get a parking space. The beachside spots are the best, but the hardest to get.
