It’s worth a detour! The whole setting with the dramatic cliffs, the turquoise water and the golden sand is extremely photogenic. - BartonbearsCoffs Harbour, Australia1,938 contributionsSensational scenery but avoid peak timesThe parking lots were overflowing even in late June, so I'd carefully consider coming in the peak season unless I was really early. Having said that, this is a stunning area. The beach is amazing, bounded by high cliffs, and the sea stacks, grottos, cliffs and small secluded beaches look amazing. We just enjoyed the views from the top but would have loved descending as well. At the top there are stalls selling soft drinks, ice creams etc. This really is a must see location and even better if you can spend time here.Visited June 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 July 2023

Car park was crowded so if you are driving come early. Had a small hike on the cliff tops and view was amazing. Loved the emerald green waters beneath.Visited August 2023Travelled soloWritten 27 August 2023

Although the beach is very beautiful it has very big problems to park and to drive with your car. Be prepared to get stucked there because drivers don’t respect the signage and your car can’t go out when you want to leave. There are also guys asking illegally for your money to park- be careful- IT IS ILLEGAL outside the parking lot of the beach which gets full by morning. The police is going there all the time because of the illegal parking and you will get a fine. Either you leave your car in the parking field before turning to the road to the beach and walk all the way there or if you risk going with your car be prepared to have troubles for sure

Beautiful beach and a walking path. You can reach the beach easily. The parking places are less for so much tourist. Be there in the morning!

The views from here are worth the visit even if you don't do anything else. There's a decent car park and a few mobile stalls selling drinks and souvenirs. A good place to start the seven hanging valleys trail

We drove here from Ferragudo and there were no parking spots today on Friday, Feb. 17th so we parked down a dirt lane. It wasn’t a perfect day (overcast) but the water was still turquoise like all the articles I read had promised!

My friend and I want to get to Praia da Marinha from Lagos, what's the cheapest way to do that? I saw that it's possible to take the bus from Lagos to Lagoa and then take a cab to the Marinha from Lagoa, would anyone recommend this? If so, do I need to book the buses in advance or do I just pay at the bus terminal?

I don’t know of one in particular but it’s a big touristy place so there should be.
Здравствуйте. Подскажите, пожалуйста, можно ли добраться до пляжа на автобусе, если да, то какой номер и от куда? Спасибо

Is there a good walking trail from Carveiro village to this beach?

Excellent answers from Alex and Cyrus (above).
An alternative: We walked from to the village and down to a nearby beach and then to the beach at Carveiro, using roads, paths and some sidewalks. Be cautious of vehicle traffic. A very scenic walk!
During the Summer and Fall, we enjoyed free, outdoor music and dancing, every night, at the plaza, with stage, in front of Carveiro beach....a wonderful surprise! Local cabs can take you back to the village.
Carveiro was one of our absolute favorite towns during our 60+ day "immersion" into the fabulous, friendly, sunny Algarve region!

Qué restaurantes hay cerca y recomendables? Gracias
