This is a wonderful example to experience what it would be like to travel by riverboat in days gone by. There is an introductory film to watch before you start your self guided tour of the ship showing of actual footage of the old days....More

The SS Klondike is a must see for any visitor to whitehorse. Parks Canada has done a magnificent job in restoring this beautiful riverboat and conducts tours on the boat so visitors can experience a piece of Yukon history.

fun tour, interesting movie, included easy to get to and find, \the history of this area is very eye opening. There was no charge and we spent a good 2 hours there. Right in town.

A short walk from town, this stern wheeler was interesting and historic. Filled with lots to see, it was well worth the visit. It sits in a park along the river and is a nice adventure away from the typical touristy places.

One of the better paddlewheel boats in the area. The parks Canada representative was very informative and willing to share.

If you love paddle wheelers or have never been on one, I recommend you do the tour if you have the time. Otherwise you can take a nice free walk along the river and just look at it and pick up a history book.
