While staying in Quebec I came across this delightful art gallery and shop. All the items are hand-carved by Inuit and each piece is individually signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Had I had a larger budget and the means to transport them back, I would have bought so much more - the carvings are truly wonderful, some... More

The art in this shop is incredible. Yes it is expensive, but worth what you pay for. The only shame is that I do not believe the artists get anywhere near what patrons pay for the art. There were two sales ladies in the store...Helene, was lovely and helpful...the other one was cold and aloof.

If you like Native American Art, visit this gallery. They have a wonderful array of pieces for sale, large and small, though they can be quite pricey. Happily, we did find something lovely that fit our budget. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and doesn't mind if you are just looking. They even recommended 2 good restaurants we would have otherwise... More

This gallery has some truly stunning Inuit pieces. Of course most of it is quite expensive, but you can take home a beautiful piece suitable for framing for about $15. They're called "art cards" but they are quite large, foam board mounted, and gorgeous.

If you are remotely interested in Inuit art visit this place. The work on display complements that which you can see in the Fine Arts museums both here and in Montreal. Very much appreciated that although we clearly were not intending to buy anything, a member of staff spoke to us at length, answered questions.

The glass window walls and sterile interior lends a big city ambience but with a cozy feel. Can't afford a sculpture? Then head on over to the Holiday Tree corner. I bought an igloo and some real mukluks there. People marvel at them when I'm entertaining for the holidays. Hit the right back and you can always bargain a little.... More

Go to the QC City Museum of Art to see the incredible pieces, all made by Inuit ("Eskimo") artists. The collection is too big to see all of it at the M of A, but you will get a good idea of its components.

Had the good fortune to have someone explain the meaning of some of the sculptures and place them in context for us. The art had an hypnotic effect. One could stay there for a long time just being with it.
