If you are in Quebec City during the first 3 months of the new year this is an experience not to be missed. As the hotel operates only from January thru March before it is demolished and rebuilt the following fall ( in a different design) you will not get to visit the "same " hotel again. We went for a... More

was not sure what to expect at first, but was happy I got to see this. Very impressive building and sculptures. The rooms are the main attraction, so be there before 8pm, because the rooms are off limit then. There are regular rooms and then the suites. Very impressive. The bar was probably the most fun place. Dress warm event... More

Seeing the 'suites' with the sculptures was quite interesting. One thing, I thing the beds should be blocked off to stop visitors from climbing all over them through the day. If I had been staying there I would have been put off by the kids climbing on the beds with dirty boots and carrying food and drinks with them....

Our family loved the sculptures, we also loved the ice slide! This was a nice break during our ski trip. It's only 30 mins from Old Quebec city and not much further from Mont Saint Anne.

A very interesting place we had heard about but unfortunately it just alive for 3months in a year from January till March hence cldnt visit. It’s the only Ice hotel North America. Architecture and size vary from season to season. In winters its one of the best tourist spot. There are guided tours operating from noon and cost approximately is... More

It was a very unique place to visit. There was an English-speaking guide available and it was cool to learn about how they built the hotel. I won't ever want to stay there but the rooms are really nice. It's just not my cup of tea.

We visited with our ski club group. Quite a novelty to visit. Not a place you see every day. Very unique rooms to see. The ice carvings are amazing. Definitely worth a visit in the winter. We went first thing in the morning when they opened during the week which was good because soon after the place filled up with... More

So this is one of those attractions you read about and you think "Oh, that's just some cheesy tourist trap." While you are technically correct, that shouldn't stop you from checking it out. The experience you get walking through the rooms and seeing all of the different talent on display is worth the price of admission alone. There are basic... More

Although we did not stay the night, we went and toured the ice hotel. The rooms truly are a work of art. We printed off coupons from the Quebec tourism site and saved $2 a person.

We have been living in Quebec City for just over 3 years, thought it was time to see this Hotel de Glace (Ice Hotel). We went on March 6th after 5pm. It was very quiet, just a handful of us walking around, exploring, walking up and down the hallways, in and out of the different rooms. We were able to... More
