Trendy stores and small shops selling overpriced stuff. It is however a tourist area so what do you expect. The area is old stone and very scenic, due to its popularity the area can be very busy and crowded. The streets are small to navigate....More

The lower old city, accessible by funicular or stairs, is definitely the best part of the old city. The shops and restaurants were of a superior quality. Food much better than "tourist grade", and settings lovely. The shops and galleries carried many beautiful items, artwork,...More

This is a wonderful part of Old Quebec with a strong European vibe. The buildings are beautiful and the streets are fun to walk. Highly recommend this area, just to hang out, walk, eat, and shop.

Lower Town is a walk back in time. It is easy to imagine a way of life when this part of the city was thriving.

Lots of winding streets to wander around, history and good architecture to see and shops and restaurants to pop into along the way.

The cobblestone streets, small brasseries, and French-speaking people had us feeling as though we were in Europe vs. North America - we really enjoyed strolling through the area and experiencing the local culture.

One of the highlights of our trip to Canada. The area is a trip back to old Europe in America. Great shops, cobblestone roads, and good food.

Don't let the rain (or snow) deter you. The city, with its narrow streets and cobblestones, and hilliness becomes a reflective canvas, with sparkles of light from many sources. It can be quite magical to be out and about.
