One of Québec’s best-kept secrets and one of the most spectacular view of the Old Town. Located at the heart of Old Québec City, the ride (one-way) takes about 12 minutes. During summertime, discover the marked bike paths located on both sides of the shore: Corridor du Littoral (Quebec City) and Parcours des Anses (Lévis). In winter, the mouvement of the ice on the St. Lawrence River is truly impressing.

You get a very different perspective of Quebec from the water and are looking up at the citadel and city walls. I would highly recommend bringing a heavy sweater, the breeze off the water can get quite chilly even on a nice sunny day! The...More

We read on TripAdvisor that it was recommended to take the Quebec City-Levis ferry to take in the views and so we did! It’s about $6.50 per round trip so make sure you buy round trip tickets. Ferry is a quick 10 minutes or so....More

We did not take the ferry but we so enjoyed watching them from the Dufferin Terrace. It is amazing that these two ferries cross back and forth across the very active St. Lawrence River. At first we could not figure out where the ferry docked...More

Despite the cold and the winds that occurred on April 4, the trip was very good. Take special care when getting off with the car so you arrive in Levis in case of lots of snow. The kids enjoy it!

You must-must do this. It's not a touristy thing to do, and that's part of the charm. Plus, how/when else will you have the opportunity to grind through sheets and blocks of ice?

The ferry is a nice short boat ride and you get nice views of Quebec. There is really nothing on the Levis side near the ferry dock other than a local diner and an adult "book" store. Probably best to just walk along the quay...More

We took the ferry from Quebec City to Levis. Not knowing how to speak French, we didnt know where to go. But the crew was helpful and sensitive to our needs. The ferry was clean and safe too.

With ~10$ for a car and 2 persons the price is okay. The view on the city is great. We saved it until the end so it was the perfect way to leave Quebec City.More

A cheap way to see the city lights. Only $3 and 12 minutes each way. On the other side, we just got back on the same ferry which left 10 minutes later.

Another inexpensive, yet highly enjoyable short trip across the St. Lawrence. Great views! And, ice crushing in the winter added to the experience!

Yes, it is possible to bring your dog along. Just make sure your dog is on leash. Dogs travel for free ;-)

We stayed at Place d'Armes, a boutique hotel across the street from the Chateau Frontenac. If you walk down the steps to the bottom of the escarpment, the ferry arrives and departs right there.
