Nice Church

This was a nice modest sized church right in Place Royale. There is so much history surrounding this church. If you get the chance to go inside you can have a quick look.

When you enter the church the first surprise is the ships hanging from the ceilings. If you explore a bit further to the chapel on the front left, you'll find a reclining statue of jesus post crucification. The alter has a light pleasing blend of white and gold. On your way out you're rewarding with a small pipe organ with... More

I really liked the church. Our tour guide also said they have an interesting area to look inside, but I did not go that far. I think that the Notre Dame in Montreal is more majestic, but this one also is wonderful.

Quebec City is full of history and this church is Canada's oldest stone church built in 1688. It is located on the Place-Royal Square. There is a large model boat suspended from the ceiling - not something you normally see in churches. A place to stop and enjoy the history.

If you are looking for a beautiful, if not ornate, church, you will be hard-pressed to find one anywhere that is so impressive as this. The altar is especially intricate and amazing. I find myself using too many adjectives to describe the opulence of this cathedral. It is said to be one of the oldest in North America. Its history... More

Went there for Sunday mass during a cruise ship stop. Mass is in French, but the priest said a little bit in English since he knew he had so many English speaking visitors. The church is small, but very nice inside and worth a visit.

This modest and very old church has an impressive and beautiful altar. Spend a few minutes absorbing its peace.
