love the shops! the window shopping is as much fun as the people watching, and the area is very clean! Easy to wander around to shop or eat.

Quaint area with lots of shopping and eateries. Many stores had unique items for sale. Wish we had gone back to see it at night.

Historic area of Lower Town with a large number of restored buildings on narrow cobbled streets. Many shops, restaurants and a good place to wander and enjoy the ambiance of a time gone bye. Recommend, Hope this helps.

My fiance and parents had a wonderful day exploring this part of vieux quebec. The shops were wonderful, lots of local goods. We bought wool socks from the region, kitchen towels from France, and soap from the region. Also had a wonderful lunch at Le Lapin Saute, would highly recommend!

So much character in such a beautiful space. Everyone should visit at least once. Take your time, peruse the shops and soak up the atmosphere. What a beautiful taste of old Europe. Not to be missed.

Access is via the 59 steps of the Break Neck Stairs (don't worry, they're regular steps with a railing on one side), the Funicular... More

LOVED THIS PLACE. Many local small shops. I don't really drink, but there was a cider shop I liked. If you want to purchase Apple Ciders, buy them in Quebec, store owners are very generous when it comes to tasting the cider before you purchase them.

The lower town can be quite busy on a warm day, so be prepared for crowds. But there are tons of great restaurants and shops. Easily done in a morning. If you want to take it easy on your legs take the funicular up and down. Otherwise be prepared for a long slog up and down the hill.
