Overview
More
This elevated area offers panoramic views of Old Quebec and the St. Lawrence River. Winter adrenalin junkies line up by the thousands at Les Glissades de la Terrasse to experience the rush of zooming downhill from 270 feet high (82 meters) in a toboggan speeding up to 60 mph (90 kilometers per hour) to the bottom 500 feet (152 meters) away. Located on the Dufferin Terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence River behind Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, the ride is open from mid-December through late March.

Beautiful views, great people watching, snacks available, street theater performances. You can easily picture people doing the same thing here a hundred years ago. In the winter, there is a toboggan run you can ride. And one night, we got to see fireworks going off...More

Terrasse Dufferin (canons on deck) is fronting Montcalm's Needle, facing Levis city on the St. Lawrence River. Governor Durham built this boardwalk, and Governor-General Dufferin expanded the terrasse with park space. It's a perfect place to lounge or picnic, licking icecream or eating "beavertail"pastry, as...More

A great place to escape the crowds of the old town and enjoy a leisurely stroll. Street performers, expansive view of the St. Laurence and Chateau Frontenac right there - all reasons to stop here.
