Pelletier was mayor of Quebec City from 1977 to 1989. He and then Paris mayor Jacques Chirac in 1979 founded the International Association of French Mayors. This green space, across from the train station, was inaugurated in his honour. It contains a unique fountain. There are some benches if you want to take a break and watch life go by or just listen to the fountain.

Beautiful garden opposite Gare du Palais station's South entrance on Rue de la Gare du Palais. While there is a fountain bang opposite the station entrance, the rest of the garden is amazing too.
If we go further down on Rue de la Gare du Palais towards the east, a few steps from the station's entrance, there are some weird but interesting things placed like six pillars with an "Arrêt" sign, the iconic orange traffic cone, a canon, a rocking spring horse, a park bench and a dust bin on one each. And a few steps further, there were these two chairs with a globe and a classic house under them. Not too sure about the exact thought process behind these things but it was wonderful.
The rest of the garden is beautiful to spend some quality time.

This park is located just across the street from Quebec City's railway station - the station is well worth a visit for its architecture. But I also loved this small park with its fabulous modern fountain and its "artistic sculpture of numerous chairs" nearby. I enjoyed just walking around the fountain watching and listening to the water flow. The park is small but worth a visit if you are in the area. Do not know if the fountain will work in the winter or if it freezes (if it does the latter, it should produce some interesting sights).
