Organised in advance from Melbourne, Aust to celebrate a great friends birthday with a super group of people went way better than planned. The Whisky Cafe lived up to expectations...we were treated by Elian & Charles with such professionalism & charm it made being there a pleasure. Flowing drinks, tasty treats to nibble, there was little else needed except who... More

On overwhelming selection of fine scotches, whiskeys, bourbons, and much more. Their samplers make it easy to discover new delicious fine aged liquors. Made me feel like a fine whiskey connaisseur with out even being one. They bring out a card with the names and stats of the liquors you are trying. The experience is top notch. I personally went... The first time we went by accident, the second time by choice. The fish and chips were very good, and the nachos were sinfully good. The staff was very friendly and bilingual. There is an excellent selection of beer on tap.

The description of livelifemtl is quite accurate. Nice cosy place. Lot of high quality alcohol, a bit of food but you won't take a full meal there. Situated in the northen side the mile-end, so a trendy place. Cigar lounge, one of the two than I know of in Mtl.

Whiskey cafe is a Montreal experience not to be missed, especially if you appreciate a nice drink and/or a cigar in a classy atmosphere. The drinks selection is excellent and the bartender makes a killer Mojito. The food selection is simple and delicious. The cheeses, sausages, smoked salmon and foie gras are great for snacking on while enjoying a nice... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
