DH and I stopped here on bike ride along Lachine Canal and grabbed quick lunch. Lobster roll (who could resist?) and kale salad for him, beet and goat cheese salad for me. All amazing--fresh and tasty. Marveled at the beautiful produce, delicious breads and pastries,...More

Magnificent fruits and veggies. Pastries, chocolate and meats fantastic as well. A feast for the eyes. We rode bikes from old Montreal to the market. Beautiful ride.

Do they realize they're next to a supermarket? High prices and not that large of an attraction. Everyone seemed to be going to the bakery inside.

Beautiful array of fresh fruit & vegetables on display. Everything just looked and smelled delicious. Meats and cheeses also available indoors. Great outdoor seating area available, hot foods being cooked at a number of stalls. Well worth a visit for lunch.

Many stands with local farmers selling their produce. On the inside are meat shops. Also inside are a couple of boulangeries selling pastries and desserts as well as other breakfast items like croissants, bagels, and coffee. There is also a food court outside that opens...More

I mention the parking first because it was the one thing I couldn't find in the reviews. We almost didn't stop on our way out of Montreal for this reason. There is plenty of free parking available. The market is fine-typical of most large city...More

Atwater wasn't as big as I thought it might be so we didn't spend too long. We had brunch at one of the bakeries inside the main building, but there were other brunch or lunch places under tents outside of the building to choose from....More

Very European feel to this market. The variety and quality was excellent. Many places to sit down and eat in addition to restaurant parts. Flowers and plants were awesome. Many organic selections. Tried some things I never saw before. Just a fun stop!

I just love the Marche Atwater... You can find fresh veggies and meat and, also, you can have something to bite at any time. The bakery at the main market's main entrance is somewhere you don't want never leave, anymore.
