Great half day, small group tour. Our guide Jean Phillipe was helpful, courteous and energetic. We visited both a small and large vineyard to give you a taste of Quebec winemaking. Highly recommend!

This tour is a great opportunity to see the countryside and taste some wine/ciders produced in Montreal. However I do not think it's worth the $158 (taxes included) dollars AUD we paid. The guide was very polite and gave a well rounded history of Montreal but he was not very helpful when told of food allergies. Upon booking the tour... More

Always looking for different things to do when we travel, and being the wine lovers we are (though hardly wine snobs), we booked a full day wine tour to the Eastern Townships. This is a very well organized venture. We met our mini tour bus just a few blocks from our hotel in Downtown Montreal. There we met Pierre. What... More

For our family group of 3 couples, through Viator I booked a half day "small-group Quebec Wine Tour" from Montreal. They turned us over to Kava Tours who met us with a mini- bus for 25-30 people at the designated time and place at 1 PM returning us at 6. The bilingual guide was knowledgable and excellent. However, the tasting... More

We came upon Kava Tours from our host, Pierre, at the b&b we are at just a town over from Kava's adorable storefront/cafe. We were looking to rent good quality bikes for a nice day touring wine country. Amelie was wonderful. She was full of information on the area, organized 2 terrific bikes for us including bags that strapped onto... More

My husband and I did the half tour with two stops. It was our first experience at a vineyard and both locations were beautiful. Our guide, Gail, was great! Very spunky, full of energy, and lots of information. After thinking about it, we wish we would have seen more of the process from grapes to liquid process. There was a... More

I strongly recommend Kava Tour if you want to visit great wineries in the Estrie region. Everything was planned very well and we were delighted with each place we visited. We learned everything there is to know about the challenges of making wines in Québec and tasted great products along the way. We tasted many wines (from 5 to 10... More

This was a really enjoyable tour- the bus pickup was easy to find, the guide was friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed the chance to get outside of Montreal and see a bit more of the area. We made three stops- the first was a gorgeous vineyard with a view of a lake, the second was a cidery with... More

We visited three wineries on a warm Saturday. The first was Leon Courville. The presentation was very informative. Anna demonstrated how you first taste with your eyes. Katherine from Union Libre gave an informative presentation about cider and wine and served a nice lunch. Simon from Vignoble de la Bauge was equally informative about how they are finding vines that... More

Had a great experience today visiting 3 wineries in the Bromont area. The wines were good, scenery was beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely do it again if they have other wineries to visit.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
