Prince Arthur is a street in Mutation..to the west, it is close to all the Nightlife and Bars of the Maine (St Laurent) and to the east, you fall upon the residential greener Square St Louis area with Metro Sherbrooke across St Denis Street, which has great shops, terrasses, coffee places to lounge in. On Prince Arthur proper, in its... More

We rented an apartment on Rue Prince Arthur and were sad to see so many empty storefronts. There is a lot of potential there.

After reading about this lovely pedestrian street in Montreal, my family and I wanted to come check out when we were visiting. Everything was very rundown and most of the store fronts were empty. The restaurants and stores that were there all seemed pretty cheesy. There was some street art on the walls but not enough to make me recommend... More

We were told this was an area where one could "bring their own wine". What we did not know is that one HAS TO bring their own beer and wine. The street is closed to all traffic and there were a few musicians playing. Otherwise really quiet. We went into a restaurant called Casa Greque where we learned they did... More

One of the only pedestrian streets in Montreal is almost dead ! I've been living for the past 15 years near Prince Arthur street and I walk here everyday. But, let's be honest here, it's no more the '80 with all the BYOW greek restaurants all over with their terrasses, now 90% of the restaurants/shops are now closed, so sad.... More

We revisited after loving this 18 years ago. Old Montreal now is what Rue Prince Arthur was then. Now, it is full of graffiti, closed storefronts and the restaurant we chose was disappointing. I wish I hadn't been back.

The Ambience of this street made us choose to live a block away. No french needed but say bonjour then hello to be polite. Great place to stay by- Close to bars, restaurants, and little Mom and Pop groceries and bakeries. Walking distance to Jazz and comedy festival but out of the way enough to enjoy a non-heart of the... More

I really love this area. The restaurants are all great and you won't find McDonalds here. It is a pedestrian only street and has cobblestone. It's a great area and it feels safe. Do make a reservation though if you plan on eating at any of the great little places.

I happened upon this section while on my way downtown. It was well worth the detour off my route. If you walk east from Boulevard Saint-Laurent you will end up at a cute little park (Square Saint-Louis) at Rue Saint-Denis. I returned to eat at one of the restaurants (nice variety). I actually prefer Rue Duluth but Rue Prince Arthur... More
