The beauty of this cathedral hardly needs another mention, but if you would prefer a more numinous or contemplative visit, it might be worth avoiding late morning till late afternoon as it is packed with tourists.

We made 3 stops to the Basilica. We did the light show at night (not worth the money), and we stopped twice during the day. I would definitely recommend, but I would skip the light show, as it costs about $1.50 per person per minute.

Beautiful lights, peaceful and gorgeous. Definitely spend time here and appreciate the building and details. 2010-11-12 visit? Not completely sure.

Must see when visiting Montreal! This is history and art in one stop. Well worth the stop and the long line. It costs $6.00 and you you need cash. Line moves fast.

Tour comes with the ticket and is for 20 minutes. This church should be one of the best in North America. Although there was a line up on entrance but line was moving and we were in in 30 min.

The colors are quite striking! Excellent detail and architecture, I highly recommend you visit at an early time and be aware of times for mass. Note that free tours happen in both French and English., we attended at 10am on a Monday

It costs $6 to get in which is unusual for a church visit... but it was the best $6 every spent! The inside of the basilica, with its Sainte-Chapelle style colors and lights is beautiful. Sitting there and listening to the organ is an inspiring...More

Gorgeous and enormous. Stunning lighting and the details are fabulous. A must see if you go to the city. The hub of events. We saw folks getting married outside and there is huge square in front. Go. Go. Go!

I do not know if they have wheelchairs available. I emailed them this morning and still haven't received an answer. There are a few steps to go in the church and if you are going to AURA you have to wait outside quite a bit... More

I do not know about a wheelchair but you certainly can sit in a pew to rest and enjoy the basilica.

I did not take the full tour, so I cannot answer that. I would have loved to, but they only offer it a few times per day. We didn't want to wait 2 hours.
